Banished!

Well, I've found the perfect cure for a toddler with a 101.5 degree temperature. Evidently it's the addition of a new Thomas the Train toy. And Hooray! This one makes loud noises!!!

I tried sitting down with him to play with it. He and Andy usually spend Saturday mornings creating a track that takes up the entire living room, which we then walk around and over throughout the weekend. He will spend hours out there in his little Thomas village.

But evidently now I'm not good enough. I tried playing for a few minutes last night, but just ended up annoying him somehow. I always put the trains in the wrong places or put the wrong cars together. He's always shrieking about something. Finally he'd had enough. "NO PLAY TRAINS Mommy!"

"What? You want me to stop playing with you? You're always asking me to play with you!"
"No play mommy - Daddy play," He said without any remorse.
"So, you're actually forbidding me to play with these trains that I bought for you?," I said indignantly.
"Bye Mommy. Daddy play trains"

And that was that. It's good to be loved.
