What is a buffert, you may be thinking?
Well - the truth is - it's a huge mystery. We were in the pool yesterday, Brent swimming around playfully in his floaty-suit. And he looks over and very plainly asks me to "Buffert" his back. I asked him about 5 times to repeat it, but it was clear as day. Andy and I looked at each other and shrugged.
He swam over and turned around, presenting his back for this supposed "Buffert-ing".
I poked at his shoulder.
"Is that buffert??" I asked.
"NO!!! BUFFERT my BACK!!!"I tried massaging a spot - still no luck.
Rubbing? No....
Patting? Not that either....
When were inside playing blocks later, I asked him to buffert my back, just to see what happened. "O-tay," he replied happily. He walked over, pushed me toward my feet a bit, and kinda leaned on me, holding his arms out at his sides.
And so continues the mystery of Buffert. The good thing is, he doesn't ask as much anymore, obviously annoyed at the lack of understanding we supposed 'grownups' are displaying over something so simple.
Maybe once I figure it out, I'll patent it.
