Waterpark!!!

I wish I had more pictures of the kids at the waterpark we went to last weekend. Total room inhabitants were my mom, my sister, her two girls, Mike and me and the boys. I cannot stress enough how MANY MANY small children there were. By count, it was only 4, but I'm certain at times it stretched to 8 or 10, if nothing but on volume alone.

I'm using stock photos from the website to show the park, as a) I was usually chasing after some child and had no time to take pictures and b) when I wasn't chasing, I was catching my breath! However I did get some of everyone in the lobby that I'll upload tomorrow. At some point they were smiling and laughing with outstretched arms in the water, I promise. Though, my pictures tend to show cranky hungry, wet-haired scowling blobs that are waiting for their pizza to finish cooking.

The favorite of almost everyone's was the wave pool, in the top photo. It was very ocean-like, but without the sand and salt. I waded out beyond the breaking point with Brent on one hip and Alex on the other, and we bobbed with the cresting waves, just as I remember doing with my Dad when my sister and I were that age. Little fingers wrapped around chunks of my hair, holding on for dear life, smiles and shrieks getting lost in the many voices and sounds around us. I look over at my mom and sister, each with one of my nieces doing the same thing. So many happy faces, and feelings of family, and wishing to freeze the moment, before it's off again to a different slide or pool or fountain. I take my mental snapshot, and carry on with this fast paced life, feeling lucky and loved and perfect.
